@PeterVRC: good info on those twin ESC/SBEC/... options.
I guess there's another option to get some more backup/redundancy:
- As both ESC's outputs are wired together in a Y towards the throttle channel of the RX, it's kinda safe to use them as Dynam designed
- However, an extra seperate SBEC is more reliable so I will install one, set to 6V
- Then I'm gonna put a Schottky diode between the SBEC and the Y-throttle cable comming from both ESCs.
This way no need to cut any red wires, the 6V from the SBEC probably will be higher (dominant) as the volts comming from the ESC's BECs, so the SBEC will be the main power for the RX.
In case the separate SBEC fails/burns, the Schottky diode will use the power from the ESC's BECs as provided/designed by Dynam.
