RDF900 is 1,000mw
RDF900u is 100mw
3DR915 is 100mw

Range depends on antennas and conditions.

Thanks RC Man,

My question regarding the distance was regarding inside the plane, here is the link of my photo: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=358

Do you think the RFD900 1W will affect the compass and pixhawk if it was around 20 to 30cm away only? and will it affect UHF like dragonlink Rx?

Why do you need 1W on the plane?? Do you want to go 40km? What is your GS telem? Get a 3DR HK knock off for air and use the RFD900 for ground. You can go at least 6 miles with that set up. Use a good dipole like the ones on the RFD site.

Tried 4 times to buy what's in my basket. Had this problem before. What don't you do yourself a favor and use PayPal? And my bank sent me a fraud alert! PayPal is the way to go. I had to convince bank I was not a fraudster!

HI CN,

Our target is to go 20 to 30km as distance, that's why we are looking for the RFD900.

Because I don't think the 3DR will be able to do it.

Rfd900+

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since writing - we have been busy, just in time for the new year break

We are proud to announce the RFD900+, with best in class RF performance.

It is based on the very capable RFD900, bringing in updated hardware to achieve better performance, durability and immunity to interference.

Below are some of the updates on the RFD900+ :
  • Same form factor and main I/O pins as compared to the original RFD900, it is a true drop in replacement.
  • New LNA with higher gain (1-2dB better sensitivity) and high IP3 for high interference environments. This gives an incremental increase in range, but significant improvement with strong interfering signals closeby.
  • AES Hardware accelerated encryption support *software still in development for this * - The Branch is accessible in Github for those who are keen to assist us in getting this feature fully implemented.
  • Updated CPU with double the RAM and Flash compared to RFD900. - This brings the processors in line on both the RFD900u and RFD900+, allowing a few more features and more importantly hardware encryption of links between the 900+ and 900u.
  • Fully ESD protected + filtered - Every IO port is protected and filtered. It has passed CISPR 22 radiated emissions testing at an accredited test lab.
  • Slightly thicker PCB for extra mechanical strength.
  • On board voltage regulation for all circuits compliant with FCC modular approval.

The RFD900+ is available for purchase now from our online store

Hi Seppo.
Hope things are well! I knew something was in the works... I will be sure to check out the RFD900+.

A couple of questions:
Are MPSiK binaries for the RFD900u available?
What is the difference between MPSiK 2.3 and 2.4? The release note make no mention of 2.4 though I have seen it floating around the internet. Has 2.4 been released?

Kind regards,
Nick
