V3 2-Axis Servo Gimbal

Hi to All
Here is a couple more Pic's of my 85.1g Mobius gimbal.
I have shifted The Mobius so that it is at the QRX350 "CG" All motors loaded
same.
If anybody is interested in building one of these. I will post a parts list, and step by step on Afro Mini setup.

This gimbal will go on my X-QRX350 when completed.

Recently discovered this small technical wonder, ashamed I didn't earlier, in my community I am called Mr. Google

I want to add a small contribution to this already great idea: what about using a rubber ball instead front tube ? I mean one as those used for gimbals...

Hi renatoa
I think as long as it doesn't shift around and you can get a good clean pivot point (for the angles to be consistent throughout the tilt arc) it should be ok. Some people also prefered the silicon tube as it was more resistant to temp changes and stiffening than plastic tubeing for example.

I have a Naza lite I just got airborne running the built in servo gimbal. It has tilt, but no way to lock it in a 'home' position (ie straight ahead with no stabilization). I'd like to be able to toggle it like I could on rc911s firmware.
Is there anyway to lock the Naza gimbal midflight? How about a compromise, like the servo power lines hooked to a rx switch, disable / enable at desired position?
If not, could I run my old kk2 board as a standalone gimbal controller with 'home lock' toggle ability onboard the Naza craft? How would I hook it up?

i got mine off here - i think (but can't be sure) it was crezzee himself who was selling them. made of laser-cut G10, i think. cost about 8-10 delivered.

edit: looked through my old PMs and it was indeed crezzee...

I only sell the top plate (robot head) as this is the tricky part to make. They are cnc cut from black G10 and cost 5.99 + 2 p+p, payment by paypal.
perhaps send him a PM?
