Here is a pic of the plane as it sits now. I decided that the 172 is not the plane for the fixed flaperon experiment due to the trailing edge shape. I will try a ground adjustable flap for experimentation purposes at some point.

More quick shots of the wheel pants... 3 layers of MPF. I cut the wheel profile out of the center layer, then set my Dremel Drill press to half the thickness of the MPF and routed the inside of the outer layers to make more room for the tire. This is a great technique for routing grooves Nothing new here however, but it is fun!

Vacuum formed. I also installed the aileron control horns, pushrods, and routed a channel in the wing for the servo leads. It is creeping along! My cat Vader approves... he is always supervising me in the model shop.
