Hello,
This is such a cool build and the F14 has always been my favourite
I have printed the plans and the foam has been delivered.
I have a simple question.
I've managed to get 1250mm x 800mm x 6mm sheets of depron so is there a reason that the main body parts (nose to tail) are cut in three parts then eventually glued back together?
If i can cut this in one piece would that not be ideal?
The upper deck is also cut in two halfs then glued back together.
I assume I can also cut this in one piece?
Can't wait to get cutting this one out.
Cheers

Even tho this is a 2005-6 design it's still a great flier and the one that Started it All for me.

In the beginning I used to deliver the parts all cut out and taped together and they all
FIT in a single 18" x 18" x 2" Pizza box for cheaper shipping reasons.

Later on I started using TWO pizza boxes full length and ship all 3 sheets of depron
with parts Tabbed into place. Shipping turned out to be not that much more
and it was a lot easier to pack for me.

I suppose I should have gone back into the Cutting files and reconnected the parts,
however, they are hidden in that they are in the center of a sandwich.

You can make them as a single component as you choose.

Priority mail cost ONLY to the UK are $43 as of todays' estimate.

Good luck with your build

Thanks Bob,
I get a lot of satisfaction from the whole scratch build thing.
Agree there is a LOT of cutting on this bad boy but it will be totally worth it.
Reaching for the scalpel as we speak
Cheers

Yup
I noticed that this AM

It's SO BAD I cant even get IN enough to figure out what is happening ?

AND it's the weekend so the ISP is not going to be there either :-(

The LAST time this happened was when Otto's Flying Witch
or ManOnBroom Vid went viral.

I got a couple of sales and then NOTHING !
2 million hits on the Vid and I got 3 sales !

If you need anything just E-mail me

Well it's been quite some time since there has been activity on this thread.

In spite of that fact I've received two orders of late, both from the SE part of the country.
It is encouraging to see new activity and continued interest in this design.

I hope to see some build activity soon.

For anyone who has been interested but have had trouble finding my services
I want to again state the I moved from the Northwest part of the USA to Indiana.
I had to change my name From Northwest Cutout Service to Hoosier Cutout Service.
I also revamped my web site so many of the earlier designs' web pages don't work now.

I can be reached at http://HoosierCutoutService.com

The F14 is still a great performer and I supply the wood parts in my kits.

My tiny retirement cutting service is here to help you get in the air as quickly as possible.

Best

F-14

Our flying club, Wright Flyers in Maryland, took on the F-14 as a Winter project. Ten members are individually building this model after seeing mine in action. I am anxious to see their progress. Should have some photos soon.

I need to do another one of these. The first one I did right after I started building with foam. I'm sure I could make a nicer one this time around. Plus, having the wing sweep on a 3-position switch, and having the ability to slow the servo speed using my JR XP9303 was just way cool!
