I didn't see any transmission dropouts, and then I saw you weren't wearing goggles, so you must have been flying traditionally.

On a side note in all your videos your plane is moving with some speed. Does it fly slower or does it have bad handling at slower speeds?

My FPV movies aren't as great
I'm new to RC flying and know little about video editing and recording (and even worse: too lazy to do it). Movies recorded with onboard digital camera
look better, why stick to TV standard that is more than half-century old ?
All my movies posted on Vimeo are non-FPV.

High speed is just illusion because of low flying, the plane(Slinger) was very slow, you know in camera everything looks higher and faster than it really is, esp. if wide lens used. Badlands movie was recorded with Samsung S730 camera, regular lens.

PS: while typing this post two more movies uploaded. Toroweap is colorful place but you have to be cray to FPV inside the canyon, strong wind is always there because of extremly cold water. Instead of lift that 3000ft drop off just sucking your plane inside. I tried to get close to water and barely got out - completly wasted lipo in 10minutes!

That Toroweap vid is very cool, lt would be awesome to fly there! I'm sure some FPVers here would be up for the canyon challenge

Hey FMKIT!
you forgot to say on which planet you were
beutifull!

I admit I was jalous of your perfect signal reception. And then I began to read your post and you say you know not very much in video because your new...
ouf! this guy will be very good soon I said to myself
but finally I understand you record the video directly onboard the plane. I prefer that because I would become very very jalous

Hey FMKit.. nice clear video! So I know this is off the topic but I saw ( a month ago..) some GREAT VIDEO QUALITY and this camera handled the sun, ground, and anything you threw at it with ease!!! What surprised me was it was a CMOS camera made by Toshiba! Problem is that it is only available on a cell/mobile phone and the internal software is what made this CMOS so great! I immediately thought of you! If anyone who stands a chance to hack this ultra tiny camera that weighs next to nothing but produce video quality like a digital camcorder, it might be FMKit! Or Thomas Scherrer and Mr. RC-CAM

Thanks guys!
Did you know that about every digital camera has AV out for downlink ?
Most often I use Lumix LS75 camera, when its optical stabilizer set MODE1 you can FPV cause the cam will focus continuesly and if your prop well balanced even record DVD quality movies along.
Lumix LS75 weight 60-75g when powered off UBEC (servos power), get rid of LCD, battery compartment, flash. Do settings via Video Out.
My Slinger AUW 600g, that's is 120g underweight compared to stock Slinger while outfitted with digital cam, 1.8AH lipo, brushless, downlink and CF landing skid .. that's fully loaded plane still can fly much slower than stock!
here is the plane w/Samsung S730 on its nose:

I've got a busted Kodak that I'd love to hack. You should start a thread on hacking cameras. I don't know where to begin, but this camera took great images when in use.

Hey great idea Skunk, a new thread on hacking cameras for FPV and FMKit could lead this.. if he's up to it Secondly I know FMKit is using his home brew Atmel chip to control the camera... that could be an advertised option for him Gotta help fund his other cool inventions to help improve FPVing
