if i use these ducted fans (link below) will a quadcopter fly? or should i build a tricopter? assuming i use proper multicontroller (kk) and provide it with proper power needs. I was thinking of cutting out a piece of foam and putting the fans in an X configuration for a quadcopter and just poping them into a hole in the foam.

Quadcopters need counter-rotating props in order to control yaw. EDFs only rotate one way, so you can't make a quad.
Since tricopters rely on a pivoting motor, it would be possible with EDFs.
(EDF quads have been made but with other ways of controlling yaw)
