No mix needed. As DanBo3D said... just make sure the deflections are going in the right directions as the sticks.

I don't understand. There is no servo movement without a mix.

Taranis mix for V tail EPP Eagle

Ok sorry for the misinformation.

Here's my mix in the mixer page, for the Taranis users out there:
Ch1. 100 throttle
Ch2. 100 ail (not used)
Ch3. Rudder
+= 100 elevator
Ch4. Rudder
+= -100 elevator

Strange but it works,,,,

Thanks Chino, got it now.

I'm using 50% elevator weight and 95% aileron weight, both with 40% expo.
My thinking was I'd never need as much elevator action, particularly with the flatter angle of my tail feathers.

My AUW came in at 22oz with a 2200mAh battery.
CG is set for 6.0cm per the instructions.

I'll report back after I maiden it.

Agreed. You want as much rudder movement as you can get, but you won't need nearly as much elevator movement.

It's a little sluggish to respond to rudder movements, and too pitchy / over responsive, if you try to use the same amount of movement for elevator.

I don't personally feel the need for a lot of expo, especially on the rudder movement - it would just make it seem more reluctant to turn, at which point you'd (I'd) probably lean on the stick, and over correct.

Yes I agree not much movement on elevator but heaps on rudder, especially when gliding with power off as real sluggish in the turns when there is very little air movement over the tail surfaces. I use a basic not computer RC controller on my eagle and it is a real pain to get a balance between elevator and rudder deflection, as am reliant on clevise position on servo arms and control horns.

Successfully flew it twice today with an experienced test pilot. I didn't change the V-tail angle so it stayed at 135. The rudder weighting had to be dialed back to 35% with 40% expo as it was way to sensitive initially. Flew right out of my hand at full throttle and wings level. Thanks all for the help!

Oustanding...it's a very different sort of flying.....not an R/C sport plane.....it's a totally refreshing flyer once you get the mindset of how it responds and how to fly it.

^^ Yes, agreed.

It's kind of like being a flying duck decoy, no sudden movements, make like a bird. We have lots of hawks around my field so I'm expecting some interaction soon.

If they are around I will almost make a bet they will certainly come investing what is infringing on their territory....So far my experience is - they come from very far off .....once they determine my bird is NOT a threat....they fly off in short order.

Have a camera person with a good zoom lens to catch the moment....down here the interaction is probably around 30seconds. However flying in a field.....warn the wife about the rats/mice that may scurry from out of nowhere on low passes!!

I am flying my Dynam GeeBee via Sky Power 80Amp BESC; stock motorBM3715-KV900 on 2700hmAh 4s.....XOAR 13x6.5 wood prop for electric....54.86amp load / 807.5 Watts power.

No issues....but I seldom go WOT......about 75% throttle is plenty fast and way fun for any wind.
