Build Log
PSS Legend Group build

Ok so the testing is done, the plans are done and it's time to get some planes in the air! The Legend is a smaller version of the standard Slope Scale PSS kits. The smaller size and higher wing loading makes for a wicked fast little beasty. Obviously this could be tempered somewhat by building it lighter but this plane will never be slow.

Specs of the PSS Legend are as follows,
Wingspan 38"
Flying weight (with balsa sheeting and bass LE) 30oz
Wing loading (at 30oz) 28 oz/sqft

I'm thinking we shoot to get them done for the Point Fermin Pot Luck. These planes will be perfect for Fermin. Lets shoot for the PSS Fest for hand delivery of kits and first group build day will be shortly after that.

Short kits (fuse, hatch, cores, plans). The cost for the kit is $120. Anyone that needs a kit shipped needs to work that out with ISRDAN.

Paypal your payment (gift to friend) to slopescale@att.net

Yes, you can still get them from ISRDAN, just PM him and hope he is not too backed up with these group builds!

I managed to get a set of cores and early fuses. I started the wings this weekend and managed to get them sheeted and mostly shaped. still need to work on the tips etc. Can't wait for the PSS Fest to see a whole bunch of these little guys ripping it up!

I'm interested, what are the logistics and costs of getting a kit sent downunder ? do you normally wait for extra aussies to chime in ?

Would be a nice bird to build and take to Manilla

From memory the B17s were about US$80 to ship 4 kits to Aus.
If you can get 3 or 4 guys keen it's not too bad (Just bend over for the currency exchange rate at the moment).
Unfortunately I have to sit this one out. The missus is getting a bit rowdy about the amount of toys I've been buying & I need to lay low for a while.
