Has anyone flown these off the winch yet? Couple friends ordered them for some slope and winch flying but we haven't been able to find anyone flying these off the winch yet.

Yeah, the love affair was intense but short-lived. He started Jonesing for an X2 pretty bad so the Energic had to go!

Which wing servos for Energic?

Hello to all Energic pilots,

I'm very much looking forward to receiving my Energic glider, most probably by mid of September. To shorten the waiting period a bit, I'm already thinking of the RC gear that suits the Energic best.

I've read in the instruction that the wing servos should have max. 10mm thickness, therefore I suspect that my favourite Futaba S3150 resp. S3172SV with 10.8mm will fit.

Which wing servos have you chosen? What would be your recommondation?

Thank you very much in advance and take care,

Henning

P.S. This is my first post in this forum - hello to everybody!

Great airplane.

I went with MKS 6100 for the ailerons and tail, MKS 6125 minis for flaps.

I used 5mm RDH horns on the ailerons. Worked very well

Ok, the MKS are on my list.
Not with a 100% good feeling - there are quite a few reports about failures after several hours of operation...
But it is indeed hard to find any real alternative to the MKS in the 10mm class.

I've got MKS 6125 minis throughout the wing on mine, and 6125Es on the tail. There really are several options out there. Many brands have a thin wing servo, pick your favorite. You mentioned Futaba 3150, but the JR 398, Hyperion DS095, and HiTec HS7115 are some other options.
