Well, youy DID land it...just more then once.
I doubt mine would bounce like that, More likely I would have bent my gear. Stock they really float nicely but dang its just a tad to slow for me and I like unlimited verticles too much. After you get some pracrice, you should upgrade it and then it will be a whole new jet agian. Joe

Ohhhh cwap!!!! Is the last picture of it all in 1 peice after of before the crash cuz if its after, you did 1 heck of a job repairing it!The foam on Habu is pretty tuff, yet the other plane kept flying?Sheesh, I would have felt at least a lil better if his came down too....

BTW, I was preparing to land and on the final turn when I collided with the Radian so mine just stalled and crashed. The repair was done while waiting for the replacement fuselage which took about 10 days to arrive. The repair was winter entertainment. It still fly it with the repaired fuselage and on a 5S. I used every trick including elapor soup (hot water) to straighten things out. It came out perfect. |

5S upgrade to stock power system
Quote:
80 amp Hobbywing ESC and set it up in the stock motor and Habu so I can run a 5S, 30C 3300. Watt meter check -- here are the results: 64 amps 1194 watts. This is better with better lipos. This makes it scoot. Not unlimited vertical but much better. Bill |

Thank you Bill....in summers here, its always in 100s plus so we have to be carefull how hot things get.Thats why I like to run the all alloy fans, they double as a huge heatsink for motor.I have melted plastic fan hubs after a season of flying at motor mount.
