How many amps on a S600?
Ok, here's the deal: Another club member of mine, after hearing me complain that I didn't have a plane that could handle any more wind than 5 or 6 mph (all I have is my trusty full fuse lite stik), he dedided to give me a PT-Electric that another club member had given him a while ago (w/o radio equipment, of course). So, for my current building project (a speed 400 super cub) I have a 555 reciever and 2 HS-81's lying around, and they don't look like they will be getting used for a while. So I now have a plane (w/ speed 600 motor), a reciever, and 2 servos! what is missing from this picture? A speed control, battery, and a charger. I'm just gonna use a tower 7 cell 1500 mAh car battery (nice and cheap, only $18), and a cheap hobbico timed charger. I'm not going high quality on this project, I just wanna spend a little bit to get this plane in the air. But my question is this: how many amps should the speed control be? I have an Electrifly c-5 in my lite stik, so I was looking at the c-30 (30 amps). It says that it can handle a speed 600, but I dunno. So, should a 30 amp speed control be sufficient, or should I buy something that can handle more amps?
