I received my order of balsa wood just before we went on vacation less 10 sheets of back ordered wood In the absence of the wood I really needed, I restarted the rebuild of a Goldberg Pitts S12. It was a "giveme" after a crash. I'm in the process of constructing a complete new lower wing. I don't have a biplane so this will fit the bill nicely. Blame my ADHD for the gear change.

I'll be back to the Fli when the Pitts is done or at least the wood work is complete. It will not be near a s nice ans Roberts Pitts but it will be a daily flyer sort of plane so no super scale stuff will be done to it.

I must be in the process of becoming Bi-plane rich. None are yet flyable.
The little CLRM bipe ans the Gl T2A . Then I have one that only needs RC gear and an engine. It rolls like a darn top. And then I have a set of bipe wings sans body.

Show us some pics Ken

A short up date... The Fli HAS NOT been forgotten. I guess I'm a bit like Earl in the fact I can get distracted a bit

Not a lot going on with the Fli lately. I got kind of stuck at the landing gear. After discussing it a bit over the phone with an RCU member (sensei) I have decided to make the gear out of fiberglass. The gear legs have a slight bow to them which would be a bit hard to duplicate in aluminum. To duplicate, at least kind of close, it was determined an aluminum gear needed to be 1/4 inch thick which would be a bit heavy. The glass gear should be a bit lighter and just as strong. Also the radius of the bends looks like it might be a bit on the large side and unless the edges were "perfectly" polished cracks were likely to develop.

Wing ribs are next on the list. I just need to get them printed and I can start to cut them.

First is the finish up of a Goldberg Pitts M12. It was a crash gimme. I just want to get it reframed up at this point in time. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...goldberg+pitts Then back to the Fli. Hopefully I won't get distracted by my partially built Bunker Jungman
