Personally, I was thinking wheels wouldn't be all that hard to fabricate from plywood or plastic sheet. Tires could be made from sections of black garden hose. There are some types I've seen that have a pretty grippy/rubbery surface consistency.

They'd certainly be cheaper than the DuBro option, and they could be made to exactly fit the look.

It was 55 degrees at Dag's today. He went motorcycle riding with Emma, his project manager. She got great grades, so he got her an off road bike and the two of them went riding.

Spending quality time with Emma and then he will get back to work soon.

Hey Dag...

How about these wheels?? You could maybe do something like put cloth over the whole wheel like the used to do on wire spoked wheels..

Or these spoked wheels. but they are larger and heavier.

Had a bet with her if she got all "A+" I would get her a motorcycle, be careful what you promise

Those wheel are WAY to heavy

. I looked at all of those when building the Emmaselle 1919.

I had made wheels like that in the past, but this is a racer and I need more of a scale modern wheel that is very light.

When I was 25 years old, I flew an F86 all week and on Saturday night drove my Corvette to the local dirt track where I raced my midget but I was never brave enough to ride a motorcycle on a public highway. I think I would have liked to race a motorcycle on the dirt track but not out on the highway with all the idots I met on the way to the race track.

The first ones list out at one pound shipping weight, and the 8" model wheels are getting real close to that weight....Oh well....just a thought...

awesome work dag! i was wondering if you plan to put cushion foam, in the speeker box? the sponge kind used in cushions. it would help reduce the "echoe" sound, and help make the sound deeper & more rich sounding. they used to install foam cushioning in those old wooden sterios years ago.

Maybe a bit, not sure. With it being the sound of a engine I what some resonance.
