Settings for Naza GPS & Spektrum DX6i

I just installed the Naza GPS in my Quad. I am using a Spektrum DX6i and need help! I want to use the gear and flap switches to switch between Attitude, Manual, GPS Hold and GPS Home. I know that I need to "mix" channels to accomplish this but DO NOT have a clue on how to proceed. I have no problem configuring the gear switch by itself...the rest well I'm lost??? Help would be appreciated. I'm sure SOMEONE has the same setup?

Mix Settings Unknown

This is a good example of the RTH function using the GPS on the DJI Naza, however the settings on the Spektrum DX6i are not known? What are mix settings?

I don't know if you'll be able to get all of that. I'm using a DX6i and currently use my gear switch to activate GPS, my elev switch to switch between manual and atti, and my flap switch to do home lock. Failsafe, which is supported by my receiver, is activated if I turn off my DX6i.

Mix1:
Gear-> Gear Act
Rate D - 93% U 0%
SW ELE D/R TRIM ACT

Goodbye Hair

I've gotta say, I'm about to pull my hair out trying to get that setup on my dx6i.. I don't see how you are instructing it to use the elev d/r switch for anything. I'm about to sell this Naza I believe.

Selling the Naza doesn't solve your concern... You'll need to assign the switch that you want to use first.

I'll see if I can grab screen shots of the DX6i that was just set-up for you and see if they help.

I have already asked for those screen shots

Hey Brewer, are you able to get your Naza+GPS to enter failsafe when you lose Tx signal? I'm helping a friend set up his Naza with a DX6I Tx and a AR6115E Rx. We are able to set the main control channels to the appropriate settings for failsafe, but can't get the gear switch to change to failsafe on the assistant software when the Tx is turned off. It will stay in the last mode position it was on when the Tx is turned off. Does the AR6115E Rx only save the 4 control-surface channel settings on a loss of signal failsafe?

I just looked and the only thing you can try is when you put the bind plug-in and it starts the Rx for the bind process try pulling the bind plug out before you turn your transmitter on to actually bind.

Then try turning the Tx turn off while plugged into the assistant to see if it registered the forced failsafe and minimum 10% throttle

That Rx is no good for Naza failsafe.

It looks like the failsafe just remember the binded throttle position which for Naza is anything over 10%

As long as it's binded with the gear channel set to the forced failsafe and 10% throttle which might have to be achieved with throttle end points for just the initial bind it might work. (Don't forget to change the throttle end point back)

Try what I posted above and let us know if that works
