Hi Nick and fellow!

Sorry to bring this thread to live after a long time, but it makes part of my life every day I go to the field Iīve already built a lot of them, the project is perfect!

I put in my new wing this new motor: the turnigy C2020, with a 2s nanotech 370mah, with a 5x43 gws prop with a 6A esc and its almost climbing in a vertical (forever)

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5380

I tried to put a 3S in this setup, with a 10A esc but the motor didnīt worked What do you think was wrong in this setup?

Letīs bring this thread to live!

What happened when you hooked it up? Did the ESC even beep?

It may be that you need to program the ESC for the 3S setup.

I would say that even with a 4x2 prop you'd be pushing this motor at a Kv of 3500. Also, what esc are you using? You need a relatively high end one at those sort of rpm, the cheap ones won't even turn the motor, it'll just squeal.

How are you my friend Nick ? Flying so much? Hope so!

I bought some Hobbycity 10A esc. I saw that one of them burned with one motor C2020. So I changed for a new Hobbycity 10A speed control and another C2020, it burned the C2020 again, with the 3S on it

I need to buy speed controls from Castle Creations or Jeti models (the top ones), donīt you think? These sheaper escs from hobbycity doesnīt worth…

What esc do you suggest to this setup Nick? I would like to se my wing climbing vertically to the sky

Thank you so much!

Fine thanks Luis. Not a lot of flying going on here, I'm renovating my house and it's winter anyway.

If you want vertical you might have to do some experimentation. Once prop sizes get below about 6x4 they start to lose efficiency so if you're going to go 3s try to keep below a Kv of 2000.

I'm a big fan of nano tech high c batteries, something like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

I've always had good success with the Plush escs from HK, best value for money I think for the cheaper end of the market. I think they do a 12A.

As far as motors go I'd try to stick below 20g. there's a good chance that even if a motor is listed as a 2s one it MAY go ok on 3s as long as you don't overprop it.

Hi friends,

Yesterday I went to the park with my son to have some fun and some flights. I went with my two wings: an Assassin and this wing from Nick plans. Nice flights with a keycamera #16, full hd.

Later, when I went to a friends house, I decided to have some flights, in the third, I lost the wing because os the wind, was blowing so hard and I could not bring the wing back..

See the video when itīs 4:26s, one child lost and I followed and I almost hit the ballons in the sky!

Hi friends,

Here my new wing, as I lost my last one in a friends house, I needed to built another one. This time Iīll go 3s. I love the result, Itīs just amazing the power of it , it will be so much faster than the last, with unlimited vertical! Iīll measure the power and post here.

The Setup:

motor: C2222 Micro brushless Outrunner 2850kv
prop: 5x4.3 GWS
battery: Thunder Power 3s 325mah 65c
Servos: 2 X Blue Bird BMS-306DB
weight RTF with 3S: 175gr
Receiver: Minima 6E FULL (Hitec Aurora 9)

Wing reinforced with carbon fiber rod and bi-directional 3M filament tape. I airbrushed it, with Createx Ink, and sealed the painting.

This wing is amazing! A very nice project, I already built more than 05 to me.

Hope you like it.
