Question
Protecting Foam and the paintjob?

I have a foam plane that seems to rub paint off whenever I touch it just the wrong way. I also have it hanging with some plastic tubing to protect the foam and the plastic tubing is rubbing the paint off also.

Also, I usually belly land the plane in grass and would also like the protect the bottom a lot more than the other surfaces. I've been thinking either a clear coat spray, or just a nice layer of clear tape for just the bottom.

I am trying to keep the plane looking good while also being protected.

Is there a good way to protect against this. Is spraying clear coat on all the foam a good idea and or safe?
