Bilmp Electrical/Autopilots

This forum was started for people to post descriptions and pics of thier blimp electrical control. Also, users can ask questions about purchasing/setting up systems or programming transmitters to be used with model airships, something I had a lot of trouble with when I started out.

I want to create a system that uses a gps autopilot and live r/c control for a combined differential and tail motor blimp. Also I need to either create a pic or find a better way to have some type of system that uses data more accurate than gps for constant computerized control of each differential drive motor, making tiny adjustments automatically to keep the blimp always flying straight. The autopilot would use the tail motor and differential thrust to turn the airship
Overview
Straight line system-uses small changes in differential drive motors
Autopilot-uses tail motor and larger differential thrust

More accurate than GPS?? The GPS used in surveying is accurate within 2cm!

Is this an indoor or an out door project?

Indoor, how are you going to see the GPS signal?

Outdoor, what do you mean by flying straight? Heading hold or ground track hold or heading hold on a constant ground track?

If you have a yaw fan you don't need to use differential on the main fans. That's just asking for more complexity.

Hello

Here is my idea for a control system for an indoor blimp. Its not too complex, it locks on to a headig until it senses an obstruction is too close to the forward sonar, and it turns the blimp away from it. When its done avoiding the obstruction the blimp locks onto its new heading and goes in that direction until it sense another obstruction. It uses a downward sonar to maintain a specified altitude and a compass to determind direction.

Here are pics of my blimp

Here are pics of my debugging window so I could see what the blimp was doing
