very nice design - however, I fear if that gets 3D printed, you will get "weight issues"

it has only 9,7 ccm3
wall thickness is 1mm

so if the density of the material is around 0.95g/ccm3 than it should be around 12 gramms for the whole body ..

add board: 2,5g
4motors+props: 17g
battery: 8,5g
all together: 40g ... not too bad i think.

it will take another three weeks, till Iīll have it in my hands though.

by the way: the syma x1 motors are the strongest 7x20 coreless
have: black cap, stiff long wires, the plastic pinion is easy to remove

What are the dimensions? I guess size looks similar to the other micros just based on motor holder size. So hollow legs should make wiring easy enough. Stll though 48 grams AUW all said and done is a bit heavy, most 202's that guys have set up for AP are about that or less with the camera and it's own battery attached. Also doesn't look very repair friendly unless it could go back together with CA. Interesting though, I like the idea.

motor to motor is 87mmx87mm, little bit smaller than the ladybird
density of the material is 0,97g/cm3 so the body with two lids will be about 12g
AUW will be 40g then ...

I am working on a even lighter version now ... think I can save another 4g

I like it. It would look nice as solid white with a clear cover on top.

it is real!

and it works great!

the second version 0.6mm wallthickness will be even lighter and more rigid...due a better lid-closing- solution!
the lids fall off when hard landings occur. nothing breaks so far, ist is really solid and stiff!
i`ve used standard 7x20 motors, they are sufficient, but get hot after 3 minutes

it all depends on the right motot/ batterx aand Board combination!

it Is up to you to find out the best combination!

do you print the bodies yourself or do you have someone print it for you?

the 1mm micro is about 12g for the body with two lids it flies superb with standard (Ladybird/hubsan) motors and a 25C battery.
the 0,6mm newer version will be around 8g only

Outstanding. This looks like it was designed for Portal by Valve. Or even Apple. Got any flight video? I might have to order one of these.

I've busted two Hubsan X4 frames now. It is brittle compared to my X1 and V959. So maybe this? Or is it coming out brittle as well?
