Seafire
Hi folks, my Christmas present to myself................
Couldn't live with the troll in the cockpit so started doing some *improvements* still standoff scale but better I hope..........I have got the elec set up to swing a scale 4 blader !!! 6 S , 310- kV motor.....2 x 3-cell 5000 Mah Lipos (series).....80 amp ESC ..still need a good 3.75" 4 blade spinner...but will fly with the supplied one with two extra slots cut for now.......... Anyway, enjoying the process...she is a hybrid of the bubble top version doing the rounds (markings etc etc )....and a high back , but what the heck.. :-) Ray |

Ground clearance...
Well you guys got me thinking.....I was maybe bit *gung ho* with the prop....I *thought* it would be ok for ground clearance........it was bothering me so I temporarily fitted the main U/C and tail wheel. PHEW what a relief...
As long as I don't hang about too long "tail up" on takeoff...I think I should be OK....I aiming at 2100 Watts with this aeroplane, so will have the poke to get off quickly.. Not a lot but as long as the grass is reasonable ![]() Happy landings all..... Ray |
