Top Flite P 40

I have a Gold Edition kit here.
I put the RCV 120 up for sale (still in the plastic in the box, lol.)
Was wondering about E power on this one?
I would think the model would come out lighter with an outrunner & Li Pos?
I have it for sale in the classifieds but I would still like to build it even if it still gets sold.
Also have a Great Planes Sport Corsair - it's a little lighter so I am pretty sure it would be fine.

BTW,
I wouldn't be using the tacky "Flying Tiger" decals that are correct for B model.

This might be interesting....................

I like the plane in the BW pic without the mouth though.

Is that anything like having your cake and eating it too?

LOL - If I decide to build it I will remove the add.
May sell it later though.
I don't have a place to fly big stuff - nearest field is 25 miles from me.

One would think that with all of those corn fields there would be some place closer to fly.

Model planes and corn fields aren't a good combination.
If it goes down you'll never find it.

And there are WAY too many spiders in the cornfields to go looking...

My club flying field is 40 miles away. I do my best not to let that stop me.

There is park 2 blocks away I can fly my small electrics at.
It doesn't get much easier, lol.
My favorite planes to fly are Old Timers and WW I planes.

Just trying to decide what to do with some of this fuel power stuff.
I have 2 kits, 1 fun fly plane, 3 .46 2 strokes, .52 4 stroke, and the RCV 120 left.
I am not sure if I could even fly a good sized 4+ channel plane anymore it has been so many years.
Last flyable one I had was a 60" Fred Reese Cloud Dancer with an OS .48 4 stroke on it - I sold that in 1996.

Greg, you can put E power on just about anything these days, and at reasonable cost compared to ic.

You could lighten it if you wanted but don't have to.

I only drive 30 mi to get to the flying field

I was kind of thinking that Charlie.
I just have been out of stuff over 36" in span so long I don't keep up on bigger stuff anymore.
The RCV 120 was $430 + shipping and it's still new in the box, lol.
It was for the P 40. I thought it perfect because with the 2.1 gearing it could swing a scale sized 3 blade prop, and being a horizontal engine it fits with plenty of room left.
I for awhile considered bashing the P 40 to a B model too.
I sold a built but not covered 90" Decathlon back in 2000 - last big plane I built.
