Hereís a short clip of the nose gear hatch test with magnetic retention.
These tests were performed with the X-2 inverted.
The first test was done at 100 psi. The second one was done at 75 psi.
80 to 110 psi. is the normal range for this system.
This is much better than the friction fit I used last year.

The X-2 was on display at Warbirds Over Texas and it drew a lot of interest.
I also put up another flight on the ME-163
From the photos you can see that all of the burn damage has been repaired.
Jim Harris of Gorilla Rocket Motors is sending me a K-470 without the tracking grain.
This combined with the hardened skids, improved nose gear and hatch should address some of the minor issues I had last year.
I hope the weather at Black Rock is better this time.
