UBEC+Kill Switch gadget
Have you seen this?
If it does what it says, it is a great weight saver!

Not familiar with this one ether but I use and like Syssa's IBEC and yes it does save weight.
I would look for others feedback on which one's you want to consider.
I've tried Wilke (I think that's how you spell it), they had some problems with the earlier version and now have V2 which seems to be working ok. Do a search on IBEC's and you'll probably get some good input on which is best.
