I ll tell you the differences and my feeling between Xeno, Stryker and Swift II in the next days...

I've been using Safety barrier tape on my Superfly wing ...... it's great for orientation and adds stability in challenging conditions .....

the tape is very light weight but it does add some drag so I cut the width down from 50mm to a 1/4 of that (12mm) ....... I glued 6mm plastic tubes into the rear of my wing and to these I simply tie on the strips of tape ....

here's a link to the type of tape I use ..... it's available in most Builders/construction supplies outlets .... you need the non-adhesive type ...... top of the list ....

Caution!: You can't use grub screws on a carbon shaft. The shaft of the Xeno drive is glued into an aluminium adapter on the motor side and uses a collet type adapter on the spinner side.

but as the weather forecast predicts even worse conditions for the weekend, I left work early for a trip to the flying field.

Initially I planned to fly for 10 minutes, land and check the consumed energy from the battery. After only five minutes into the flight, my thumbs started to freeze and I decided to land a bit earlier.

6:50 minutes of flight consumed 156 mAh from the battery pack.

Frozen ground is "a killer": even a soft landing can leave lasting marks on Elapor.

The Xeno is really easy to launch, but I am not sure, whether I would get my hand in this contraption in time.

Also my trusted cameraman (James Frolik) is on vacation in the USA over X-Mas.

I did:

MPX: 219,9g + 103g battery -> 323g
mine: 134g + 167g battery -> 301g

From these numbers my Xeno should be even lighter, so I gained some weight somewhere. It's not the servos. I use a light RX.

First serious design flaw revealed. A fellow Xeno engine axis broke at second launch, due to excessive acceleration.
He expected this thing, because there is a * known fact * that carbon fibers does not handle well longitudinal torsion, so he had ready the replacement: a brass tube same diameter, with a 2mm carbon rod glued inside.
The brass will provide anti torsion strength, while carbon will keep it straight.
