Looking forward to seeing how the wing warping is accomplished and whether attaching the wings and wing warping wires will be something that can be done reasonably easily at the field, as the size of this bird means taking the wings off to transport. I discussed this with Maxford briefly way back in Oct. 2013, and it looks like they came up with a very promising solution!

5 pounds for a 64" span vintage type?? One thing Maxford is good for is selling overweight models.

Yeah, I had their Bleriot and with all the nose weight required it was heavy but it didn't seem to know it! Hopefully this one will fly equally as well because it looks very intriguing.

The first real Taubes used the same U/C design as the Bleriot, presumably Maxford has too ? The Bleriot U/C is very fragile and very sloppy (loose) and the "carbon" struts delaminate very easily. Definitely was the weak point of the model.
