Im no fan expert, but had an idea I want to try out

S400 pylon racer, however the fuse is a lil goofy and its hard acheive the CG with a serious "conventional" power system in it. It always ends up massively nose heavy.

The Idea is too bolt a fan too it! On top of the wing, like a micro version of this -



That gets the motor out of the nose, and allows the CG to be acheived with a larger pack.





The Problem is - I know props, not EDFS




Im guessing I want tiny lil fan that I can run on a 28mm motor. Pack wise im looking at around a 3S2200-4S 1800. ~1kW would be the target.

The airframe is very slippery so I want efflux speed over thrust. Lots and lots of efflux speed 150+mph would be nice.


Can anyone recommend me a fan?

Personally, I would try something like the vasa 65mm.

28mm is a big motor for most/all fans that are below the 65mm edf, you may have to do some custom work and some experimenting.

Try a WM 300 from Velocity
