Great job, Gupi. She is absolutely beautiful in the air. The video looks like it could be an old black and white movie somewhere on the front lines. She really flies smooth.

I've got one question for you, please. How far back from the leading edge of the upper wing did the balance point check out at?

I built a smaller, printed paper on 1mm and 3 mm foam, DVII. I worked off of some 3 view drawings which showed the balance point as being just about threw the centerline of the landing gear wheel. It's taken a lot of weight to get this close. She hasn't maidened yet. I was wondering if you could give me the dimension of your balance point? It would truly be appreciated.

I'm attaching a couple of pics for your review.

Thank you,
Dennis

Thanks guys!

Dennis, I've attached two screen shots of two separate Fokker D.VII i built that show the balance points. Both fly very well. I hope it helps.

Gupi,

I just used your graphics with dimensions for the C/G and calculated the equivalent for my scale and it turns out to be spot on.

Thank you again.

Fokker crazy

Gupi I am glad I finally got to see the Fokker in action!!i like the video and music. What mode are you flying? Aileron and elevator on same stick? I fly aileron / throttle on same stick( left stick ) The stabilizer on your Fokker does not hang down whatsoever !! What degree incidence you have on the stab?? Must be positive. I add 1* positive on stab previous builds but next plane maybe add more. Yours definently flies more scale than mine. Great job. I think I finally got to see what you look like on the video. I was curious over the years I have followed you how old you were

I'm glad you like the video!

@Dennis:
Mode: I'm flying mode 2 (throttle and rudder on left stick).
Angles: I've measured them in Peter Rake's plan, top stringer used as datum line.
Top & bottom wings: +2.6 degrees (profile center line)
Stabilizer: +1.5 degrees

I hope that helps!

Thrust angles are 2 degrees right and down. The AUW is 3.5 kilograms (about 7.7 pounds).
