A boat is a hole in the water, no, wait, it never made it in to the water.....when a car burns it's a "car-b-que", a boat, a "boat-a-que"???? I'm confused ......CF

Fraz was locked in the room to do his work, with only a small window so someone could pass him food. Problem no one told him which knobs to turn.

No, this is why you'll never see [historically accurate] interiors on model submarines.

Especially WWI German U-boats. Classic German over [uber] engineering.

A lot times on the ship you would find people who could operate their equipment nearly blindfolded form their familiarity with it. There are types of qualifications that you can earn (and need to, to get advanced) like Surface Warfare Specialists, which means that you somefamiliarity with every department but the most with your OWN department and duties.

Foo's right,it's the little details that get you ahead in the military. In boot camp one week is spent in the field on bivouac. During that week they interview all the squad leaders and the four platoon guides in each company. You stand before your company commander and the rest of the company cadre and answer questions,do the manual of arms and try to act smart while shaking in your boots. None of us had any idea that this interview was coming. There are several trophys given out at the last formation before you go home. Best squad leader in each platoon was one but the "Holy Grail" was the 'Outstanding trainee of the cycle'. That's the one that I won and for only one reason, I had put on a clean uniform that morning and shaved. I had beaten the other three guides by two minor points that turned out to be most important. I'm looking at that trophy right now and it's the only trophy I ever won in my life. I was also awarded a PFC stripe way early because of it too. Things like this are all figured into the budget striker40. No extra cost for getting it right in the military.
