RE: Zeta FX-79 Buffalo

Hi Gang

After much deliberating I finally took the plunge and purchased the Zeta FX-79 Buffalo. I agree it's a little overpriced but it appears Zeta has built on what it learnt from the Phantom. I've included a link to some test flights I've been carrying out.

Cheers

Jase

Would you mind posting a guide on covering a wing with vinyl and how you get it so smooth?

Thanks

I have only done a quick test flight, the stabilized mode on the FixHawk is not right yet. I need to increase the Pitch and Yaw pid's in mission planner and also adjust the horn linkage to get more aileron authority In stabilized mode, I have pleanty in the pass through. Once satisfied then will fly it and possibly let the FixHawk do an autotune, Will need to read up on that first. Hopefully will have 40 to 45 minute flights but not sure.

Maybe someone can post how they have their pixhawk setup and share what works best for them.

Had a bunch of issues with my Pixhawk to begin with, but most of it was user error. Then the airspeed sensor went dead (may have been user error as well) and it kept attempting to kamakaze. Turns out since the airspeed reading said zero, it assumed it was stalling and attempted to dive to regain airspeed. that lead to a few crashes before I figured it out. I'm thinking my motor and prop pitch is a bit too low, as I keep having tip stalls, but in other videos I've seen it flow much more aggressively with no issues, so I have a new motor and a higher pitch prop on the way. What exactly are you looking for in regards to the pixhawk specifically?

Which Air Speed sensor are you using, I am using the original apm not the pixhawk digital one. If I remember right my prop is an apc 12x6.
