i like the price and that it's waterproof without an additional case, but it "looks" a bunch heavier than the go pro. Checked out the site, didn't see a weight listed. Maybe i missed it? Anyways.. hope to see a review from you soon!

I will test it against the GoPro when it arrives and see how it performs.

I took a gamble on the weight, if its too heavy for fpv it still makes for a good value camera I think

Here in the UK the contour costs £150 I only paid £117 Inc delivery for this.
Also this camera has a 172 FOV (on 720p) the contour is 145 FOV and this also has a small display screen too.

It may end up weighing too much much but for the price (here in the UK) I thought it was worth a try

Well guys it arrived yesterday. I only ordered it last Thursday evening (25th) and it arrived Tuesday (30th) at 8.15am, I'm VERY IMPRESSED with the shipping time to the UK. I chose UPS as the shipping option.
I did get stung for £17.76 of customs and admin charges (£6.76 import tax and £11 admin) having said that, it's still only £135 all in and it was delivered in just 5 days.

So what's it like, well I have only had time to have a quick 'play' with it tonight after work and I have to say so far I'm VERY impressed.
The build quality is very good, better than I had expected and its very easy to set up change resolution and setting etc due to the 1.5" colour screen.
Also I have tested the AV out live while recording and I'm pleased to say that it works just fine

I have tested it tonight next to my GoPro but in the low light conditions in my house, it's not a fair test but as a comparison so far its fairs very well. In fact the detail in the image is slightly sharper although a little darker and it handles the bright halagen spotlights in my kitchen better than the gopro but I will shoot some video in the daylight outside tomorrow as I have a day off work tomorrow.

I have taken a couple of shots of it next to my GoPro in and out of its case so you can get an idea of the size better.

Oh and the weight is 192 grams with battery installed, my GoPro (in its polycarbanate case) is 168 grams

A still frame from the GOPRO (thats been cropped) showing my kitchen lights

A still frame from the Extreme cam (also cropped) showing the same lights

So it's slightly heavier than the gopro, but a lot more affordable and aerodynamic. Waiting to see a video on it... My hand is hovering over the add to cart button. -Tyler

and the colour reproduction seems to be a lot more realistic... unless of course you smoke 100 a day and your kitchen ceiling is ACTUALLY that nice shade of yellow?

I'm pretty sure I have an earlier version of that extreme cam. The one I have doesn't have the lcd viewing window. It came with a remote control and lots of attachments. I'm not even sure what quality video it takes because when I got it I was distracted with a deployment and stuck it away some place after a few times of using it and never taking videos off the card. Looks like the same case. I'm glad they added the LCD.
