I used 4 small flat magnets. One magnet was too low. My Bomb appears to be splitting with ease. I won't get to flight test it for some time though as I'm headed out of town for work.

Sorry Sweetpea. I thought I read somwere that it broke at one point. I must have confused you with another post. So thats good! Now we have to magnetic bombs.lol Seems were onto somthing.

How much weight do you think that release mechanism can handle?

I have a 100 inch wing that I would like to be able to mount a 48 inch wing underneath...

I would think it could handle the weight. The release is simply two barbed pegs that slide back and forth.

As the saying goes - there's one way to find out ....

I put my Bomb System on my Das Plas-Stick (DPS) SPAD. There is enough clearance underneath to allow ROG - much better than hand tossing my Wing or Easy Star. I upgraded the motor from a 400 to a 450 size.
