hitch hiker

The paint scheme should include a dude with face tatoos and a chain saw if it is a real hitch hiker.

That is where this is leading to. Are there any pictures published of the prototype 3.6?

Any weights and dimensions on the elevator?

I see the trailing edge of the elevator is nearly straight across. From the little I understand that really puts a load on during launch.

Any thoughts or info there?

Will

Tappet!

Believe it or not the term 'Hitch Hiker' has a certain romantic or perhaps nostalgic connotation her in the UK. And also the thing is designed to hitch a ride on a thermal.

Still...I remember hitch hiking years ago when I was in my early twenties. It took me half an hour or so to get a ride - happy days! I loaded up my gear and got in the passenger seat. About half an hour later I realised I had made the worst mistake of my life as the guy driving refused to stop, insisting on taking me 100 miles out of his way to my destination. While he drove he casually told me how he had recently got out of jail.. for behaving in a manner not associated with a stereotypical heterosexual male. I lied about my destination and managed to get me and my gear out of the car safe.

Just thought I would share the story with you Tappet... Don't tell anyone, it's kind'a embarassing

I like to pick up hitch-hikers and not say a word but look straight ahead and after a few minutes say in a deep ominous voice "So, how far do you THINK you're going?".

If he didn't threaten you, I should think you were probably fairly safe. (Assuming that he was in jail mostly for having chosen the wrong flavor....) My worst, or at least most dangerous, hitch hiking experience was getting picked up by two guys who were drinking. Fortunately, they must not have been too far along.

Anyone remember the picture of the guy printed on the fin of the Wanderer* plans? I hope I don't get in too much legal trouble for posting it.
