BTW, the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is not Government funded. All money comes from public donations. Hence all the invitations to contribute before the vids come on.

John. The heads were hand carved. Unfortunately I don't have access to a 3D printer!!

Mad. I also have a sicrc boat but not assembled yet. I am assembling a sicrc boat for my daughter first before I complete my new boat (her rules not mine!!!).
I made a mold for the heads, so all the boats will get them; it's just painting the heads is so time consuming, I'm not looking forward to that bit!!!
I'll probably trick up the roll cage a bit too.
The red boat has had a tough life, so may keep it for a spare if needed.

Well, taklin T's advice, I decided to use the short water I have..

It lets you hear the revs that the 4's put it thru..lol what you hear aint cavitation, its the amount of revs available..notice the holeshot toward the end, zero cav..also let me see my grommets spinnin, which made me remember I didnt put my sealing plate on underneath the cam lid..lol.

Not enough water to run it tho, run outta room to quick, was afraid to slide it up on the ice, but, it GOT WET!!

Cool vids boys Chi Daddy Now I'm really Jealous my water just disappeared under 6 inches of new heavy wet snow! Camera didn't seem to make the NQD overly top heavy at all!

Hopefully we will have more water next week, to run the cam, I'm gonna have to reset the tabs, the extra weight is felt, cam will be more at home in a stream, where there aint no speed factors to deal with..I can see it hookin and going water side up..

One thing tho, its not any faster on the 4's than the 3's, pump is all in on the 3's..the 4's give it the sick holeshot, is all..I will be running it on 3's most of the time, BUT, you shoulda seen the holeshot on the 5's...ROFL..

Best on the gps was 31 mph and small change, if I remember right..

My weekend was spent playing small engine mechanic on a 2-stroke scooter I got for cheap because it had no battery and was sitting for 2 years. Drained the old gas, cleaned the nasty gunk out of the carb, and put in a new plug. Fired right up! Not running quite right at WOT yet, but it's close. Nice to get the hands greasy once in a while.

And excellent use you made of it. As everyone has said, the cam doesn't seem to have affected the weight and balance too much. Even if, as the perfectionist we know you to be, you feel you will need to adjust the trim tabs. Most of us would have thought your outing was a complete success.

its easy to make a jet boat self right the problem is to get it to do it fast enough to be useful.

When Fire made his comment to me that my boat was fast, I wasnt feelin it..so, I thought about it, and said to meself, nah, it AINT..

On to surgery.. when I saw the grommets spinnin, I SHOULD had caught it, but gettin old, I guess..vibration..no good...upon inspection, look at the 5 oclock position on the old stator..left over from the 5S run..

But, cant go on enough about havin spare parts in stock..
