Yes this can help - on my 72 even all the adjustments to the deadband wouldn't fix it - a lot of 3d guys I know use the fuzzy side of some stick on velcro to add a little resistance to the surface at the center - this paired with proper deadband usually does the trick...I know I saw a tutorial on it either here or 3drcforums....but its a great way to fix a very annoying issue
as a side note - once you take off and get that air flowing over the surface it does the same thing so this is really only a ground taxi issue and it really won't hurt the servos much (assuming you set them up properly) - for me I always seem to have 1 or 2 that make some noise - as long as none of them are over amped anywhere in their operating range then it really is just a wee bit of noise...
