Axion Alpha 139 - Any experience with 3s batteries?

I've just bought the plug and fly version of this plane and it recommends a 2s 7.4v setup, I've been flying it like this but I want to upgrade the batteries on my EDF to 3000mAh 3s from the 2200mAh so it makes sense to use the old 2200mAh 3s batteries on my Axion however there isnt much information available for this plane yet and I'm curious if anyone has had balance/weight issues with bigger batteries?

Thanks for any advice guys!

The optimum focus is 9cm from the front edge of the front wing.
The original setup with the 2s 7.4v 1300mAh Lipo is good for gliding.
For sporty fly you pack 30g lead in the nose or a 3s 11.1v 1300mAh Lipo.
The original ESC will survive not for long, because with the 3s lipo
the motor draws about 25AMP. I built in a HYPE Alpha Pro ESC 40A.
The original propeller you must also change, which is junk. I have a Graupner Cam
Speed Prop 5.5x4.9" propeller with an MPX adapter.
It rises almost vertically, and the Alpha 139 has lots of power.
With the changes I've measured a thrust of 800g!

Thanks for the tips

The push on prop does look pretty rubbish and I've already ordered a 3mm prop adaptor, I'll look out for a better prop

I may experiment with batteries and ESC's, but my end goal is to build a reliable FPV plane so I might run a pair of 2s 1300's.. one for the motor and the other for the cam/tx..

A 3mm prop adapter? Do you have a different motor than me?
Mine has a 2.3mm shaft. FPV I do not know. I googled, sounds very interesting.
I think the drive would be better than a 3s battery, so the bird has just more power.
I will test a 3s 2200mAh lipo on the weekend.
My 3s 1300mAh lipo weighs 127g, the 3s 2200mAh weighs 193g.

Doh I thought it was 3mm? I'm sure thats what it said in the manual.. Will double check

I think weight will be an issue for me.. I've got FY20A sat right at the back of the fuselage and I also need to add camera and TX!

Did you manage to test fly with a 2200mAh 3s?

My alpha 139 was unfortunately seized by storm gusts and fallen into a forest. Despite intensive search I did not find him. :-(

The trees are too high and it are still too much leaves on the branches.
Property now a MPX twin star 2 with 2x 300Watt Brushless power. Heavy one, more stably, more achievement and more span.
Wind to 5BF no problem.

Last week I could pick up my alpha from the tree. The fuselage was broken, the accumulator dead. But electronics survived so far, the servo of the rudder was broken, that was probably the reason of the crash. Property yesterday also a test with S3 2200mah Lipo made. Super flies. But in passage, carrying capacity and flight picture he cannot keep up with my MPX TwinStar 2.
