I went back and looked at the entire flight - impressive! I'll never be able to fly that well. Face it, you were rolling the dice every time you came screaming in over the parking lot.

I don't know what I'm talking about. Just throwing ideas out there. lol
+1 that should fix it!

That's exactly what happens... you can spin the gears manually and screw with the servo positions all you want, I spin them all the time on my birds when troubleshooting sticking issues, sometimes right to the end... when you plug in your battery and the heli binds they instantly reset and shoot to the correct position. In other words... it "knows." That's why I'm confused as to what the issue is/was

This is my confusion, also, North. Thanks Brian and Pilgrim, too, but that was one of the first things I tried--sliding the motor back and resetting it. It has decided that the mid point is now at 90% right, almost to the end of the travel. I think today I will replace the screw and contact. I see that there is a little C-clip holding it in. Maybe that will change things. Otherwise, the problem is in the brick somehow.

Maybe you need to spin your servo motor in it's mount ?
Power it up and see where it goes with stick centered, then reinstall to counteract that ?

The servo motor has no idea where home is, it only goes CCW or CW or stops depending on what it's told to do by the RX, which knows where you told it home was via the TX. The thing that is causing you problems is the resistor strip on the servo is not telling the RX the right info now as to where the slider is..

Sounds like the fix is to replace the whole Rx. However, as Capt. James T. Kirk said, "I don't believe in the no-win scenario," and will pursue the back door solution if I have to reprogram the dang thing!!! (NOT that I actually know how to do that!!!!).

So I had a 9958, then bought a blade msr. Love that except it can't turn left in fast flight. Now I am considering the 120.

What are the know issues with it?

Ah! Welcome to the forum!! Please read 500 pages or so and you will have your answer(s)!!!!! Seriously, every one of these these helis have their own quirks. Here's a couple advantages to the BSR120:

o parts fairly cheap by mail order and found in many LHS

o they take a lot of minor crashing and survive well

o you have this forum to help you troubleshoot when you have a problem.

Buy one today and let us help you with specific problems!

There's nothing about mine that I can think of off hand that I consider an issue.
