Hotliner throttle ramp and easy launch with Spektrum Radio
Spent a few hours on the Spektrum radio today.
The throttle ramp is in the servo settings, throttle menu. Note I have my throttle on the trainer button. Some call it throttle switch, I like a button, I let go and the motor is off, push the button and feel the speed.
I have been using throttle on a switch for a few years now and always torque roll can be scary at 100% throttle and has made a few flights very very short.
Step 1) Hook up the Castle Creations USB programmer. Set the throttle settings to fixed end points.
Step 2) For full throttle your Spektrum radio has to be -100% at no throttle and +100% for full throttle.
Step 3) Go into the mix menu
Mix mot > mot Yes you are mixing motor with motor
Pick a switch you are going to use at the bottom of the menu
Set offset to -100%
Then set rate to a negative number in percent that will be subtracted
from full throttle
I haven't flown and pulled data logs but bench tested it and it works.
