Great views Bart. Looks like you invested in a new camera. Mobius?
When replaying 60 fps at 30 fps it will slow down 50% and still keeping fluent view. Some parts of flight and frequency of waves may look more scale.
Little wegde under the (hat)cam for about 15 degrees extra tilt will keep your subject more centered.

Those where some Very Short Takeoffs. The crosswind taxiing looked a bit scary in that strong breeze. Soo light. Clever handling. Glad to see everything came ashore right side up. What a plane!

Jup i invested in a mobius cam. I think it is very good value for the price. No wedge needed , just need to place my cap up a little higher Crosswind taxi´ng takes some practice but works fine. If the wind is any stronger i just let her blow back to shore nose in the wind.

Cheers,

Bart

A couple of shots of my 100" Short G-Class boat "Golden Hind", built between November last year and April this.

It flies like a dream and is really the most enjoyable model I've ever built.

Needless to say, it was based on Ivan's 100" Solent plan. All the details on my build log

Photos by Alan Butterworth at Longham Reservoir, southern England, today.

Mike,
Fantastic pictures. So realistic in flight. Only missing motor smoke trails behind. Looks like the navigator is looking out the observation dome taking a sun sight for position. Can't get much better than that. Keep that photographer. Hard to find.

Don't If you look close enough you can find the "tell" With the picture at full size on my screen I went looking for the Model linkage and couldn't see any. But I did spot the separation line for the wing.
Took a bit of looking though.
Well done Mike.

Greeting to all my friends, and thank you all for the very nice comments...it's a good thing you can't see the covering wrinkles but she does look good in the air, which is what I was aiming for. Those big flying boats really do have a lot of character.

Thank you Bart!
This must be the best Catalina small video I have seen.
It has so many details and the image quality is perfect.

I am sure all Catalina fans will love it like I did.
