Tarot T810 (modified folding octo X8 coaxial)

Does anyone have information on the new Tarot T15/T18? I want to build a new foldable Copter for 7-9kg AUW.

My plan is to take a Tarot T810 Hexa Frame and make a Octo X8 Coaxial of it (Leave two axes and the 4 rearranging to x). But I wonder how does the Tarot of T15/T18 will look.

Why Octo X8 Coaxial and not hexa? I want to use 17 "/ 18" props.

I'm finishing off a tarot 1000 in a x8 config with room to move to a 18 inch prop, the foldable octo there about to release also looks good

At tarot 1000 in a x8 config I have already considered. I want to be able to fold his arms. At the Tarot T15/T18 can not simply remove 4 arms, then he is no longer symmetrical. So I will need to take the T810 and drill new holes.

Have you seen the "TAROT 5008/340KV multi-rotor brushless motor TL96020" motors? That could be interesting.

What do you have for a setup? have you pictures?

You sure are the 7kg? Cable, flight controllers, video link etc.
If you need a second battery because of the flight time then you're 1-1.4Kg more!

Look here:
Test Tarot 3Axis Camera Gimbal by Bird's Eye View Chiangmai (8 min 59 sec)

Battery 6S 5000mA x2.
Total Payload 8KG.
Flight Time 8 min.

I plan to use 2x 6S 10000mAh, I will use a small DSLR and NEX5.

Yep!, Im flying a similar setup with alot less hardware(4 less booms, less clamps, lighter motor mounts, lighter motors mine are 98 grams each his looks like 150grams plus x8...my 2x6s 5000mah are about 1.5kg total), Ill get the exact number tomorrow night as I cant be bothered going down stairs to weigh it again as it is freezing in my garage!

Trust me dont over engineer your multirotor! build what you fly, not fly what you build!

I was going to get some of those 18" props from tarot-rc....but Im not convinced....lower prop speed vs wind resistance, Ill have to drop down to 4S on my current setup to stay within limits of my motors, I havent seen any good quality 6S 10AH lipos, where have you seen the options?

This is my calculation:

I do not think the motors are too big. It also should be able carry a full-frame camera. I have also calculate with the T-Motor GF MN4012 -13 340KV and MN4010 -14 370KV but no better results. With the weight I'm sure it will be not less.

I dont know the quality of the motors but have power.
Tarot 5008 KV340 Heavy Duty Motor (1 min 37 sec)

The Gens ace Lipo are very good, maxamps.com also but I find too expensive.

@TheAC
I asked some dealers date is not yet known and there are no photos.

I have placed my order on tarot-rc-heli.com (Special offer until the 21/08/2013). Nice contact. Unfortunately, that still takes several weeks to delivery.

I want to convert T810 to 4 arms, each with two engines an 18" Props.

MultiCopter Build startet

I received the material. The first thing I did was worrying about the new holes. The four arms must have 90 distance (hexa 60). I scanned the main plate and marked new holes (old yellow; orange new) 1:1 scale.

But I have an idea and show pictures when finished.

I will also mount the TAROT 3 axis gimbal and shock absorbers have the Tarot 3 axis gimbal including legs. I do that can just fly with Gimbal or tarot T810 folding tripod. The folding tripod can be removed with two screws.

For the gimbal it would be nice to have a quick release like this (only 25g): http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/x-shut-flat-mount

Now the problem comes with the ESC, always missing the place. Space for 6p. is not easy to find but at 8 that is a problem.

I'm going to use the battery holder for the ESC. 2x40g Extra weight but very good for cable management.

I have the Mystery 40A ESC. I have the Simonk firmware loaded, but still testing with the engines before I mount.

I need a little time to build and to test ESC.

Unfortunately I only have few photos from a mobile phone.

Gimbal + Camera + Batteries ... I have calculated that I'm at about 7-8.5KG (1 oder 2 6S 10'000mAh). That sounds high, but there are others with similar Gimbal also not underneath.
I use the copter to photograph. The gimbal with the camera and lens is quite heavy. this is one of my photos with the old copter (click to see):

Yesterday I updated the ESC with Simonk firmware. I have the tool to flash. But that does not work for the ESC, contact is too bad.

Allso I improvised, just needs a steady hand and alcohol ... for the contacts

I have one ESC burnt :-( the Mystery Blue Series 40A are not the same as the Hobby King Blue Series 40a! Mystery Blue Series 40A working with "bs.hex" and NOT with bs40a.hex!

The wires from the ESC to the motor I replaced with plug.
