24mm outrunner motor recommendations

I did use google but can't find one with the specs I'm looking for.
I want a brushless 24mm (370) outrunner aircooled motor. The KV rating should be between 2500 to 3000.

Why 24mm
be easier to find a 28mm diameter can round that KV

I presume you need 24mm can, because the 370 brushed motor you are replacing is 24mm...

Guys sorry, I wasted your time because my title was incorrect. I was not suposed to say outboard, but outrunner I will see if I can correct the title. I want a outrunner as I will run it without watercooling. With the watercooling can/mount etc the space will be to limmited. The esc will be watercooled though.

Why 24mm? There's lots more selection in 26mm and 28mm.

I always wanted to convert my Mini Wildcat to a brushless single but never did it. Now I want to. With the motor in the middle of the boat, on the higher part, the motor must be kept small in order not to touch the top of the boat. Also I think a 24mm motor will be a good balance between power and runtime on this small light cat. And it will keep the weight down as I will use smaller batteries as well. Bigger motor needs bigger batteries for the same runtimes.

A slightly bigger motor (only 4mm bigger) won't draw more current unless you go to a bigger prop or one with more pitch. It'll also run cooler too since it's not running as close to it's limit.

They seem a bit big, but I will look at the boat again and see if it might not maybe work. I just might be possible to slip them in.

What driveline hardware, stinger, can I buy and where that will be a direct fit to the Mini Wildcat? I'm sure the standard driveline won't be able to handle all the extra power.

It might Scorpion. Its the same size as what wparsons recommended. Since its is recommended by both of you it seems it must be the best option.

Now I just need stinger recomendations

You can't run a stinger on a cat with a single center mounted drive, you'll need a small strut.

Something like these should work, you'll need a new coupler and flexshaft still though

Thanks for the advice. I will brouwse though the site. I want a complete set, flexshaft included. I hate it when parts bought seperately don't match or fit each other 100%. Happenned to me before...
I will use the standerd plastic rudder that came with the boat as original equipment. I will have to wait and see if it will be up to the task. At least the boat should weigh less as there will be a complete motor and driveline less.
