Madbomber, I honestly don't remember where I got the plans. I've had them in my collection for many years. I think they came from the MAN plans service.
A lot of model history is summed up in that 1967 magazine cover. Monokote was new, and strongly resisted by many traditionalists. Yes, people still covered their models with stuff called tissue or silk and finished them with dope. You can Google that. BTW, when Monokote was first introduced, it could not be used over open bay structures. One had to cover the structure with tissue first. Finally, tuned exhaust pipes are hailed as the "scoop of the century", having never been used on model engines.
