Doesn't appear to have a functional (ie, servo-actuated) tow release to me.

I am going to guess its 1 servo for ailerons and one for flaps, so it could be on the fifth servo. Just a guess, ill have to look closer at the pictures. But by the sounds of it they have it set right with a release on both planes.

Actually, on the product page, they refer to it as a "tow hook", not a release.

ahhh, you beat me to it.

So am I to assume that they have 2 servos for aileron?

One servo per aileron. You can see that in the pics and video. I'm guessing both flaps run off of one servo that is mounted in the cabin.

In this pic..

You can see there is an aileron servo on each side of the wing.
Parts listing also show servo covers.

The manual is posted, and the section on towing a glider is an interesting read.

And the glider has the servo for releasing the tow line.

Here are few questions to

Rather have us guess would you provide a shot of ther Inner, and would we get a discount as a group order?

Why did not they make a solde Fuselage vs a split, with a removable wing with bands.

Thank you

I'm thinking it will be 4 servos for:
rudder
elevator
aileron x 2

The fifth channel I am guessing will be single servo on the flaps. I do not think there will be a tow release on this plane, I think the tow hook or line will be static. The releasing will be done from the glider.

That's my guess.

EDIT - damn this thread is moving quick. While I typed that others said the same thing. hahaha

Yes, in full scale gliders, the glider is the one that releases from the tow plane, the tow plane holds onto the tow rope, just until before the wheels touch the ground on landing. I should know, as I am learning to fly these.... If this helps you folks wondering why the rope wont release from the Carbon Cub servo, that's why.

I like this plane and it's features a lot, but I think I'm gonna have to side with you, here.

Guess I'll wait on this one, maybe after 6 mo or so they will come down some.

A Carbon Cub is a full scale aircraft. This is a model of that full scale aircraft.
