AB Models – EPP Slope Gliders from South Africa

http://abmodels.co.za/
AB Models has been in business globally for several years, specialising in Fiberglass and EPP foam Radio Control Scale Aeroplanes for Powered Flight and Slope Soaring Gliders
Recently Anton Benning has come out with a new series of small EPP Slopers that are great for light to medium conditions
  • BAE Hawk
  • Aermacchi MB 339
  • Mig-15
Please post your color schemes and in-flight pics and I will add to the gallery here
Not sure who the owners are for these first pics, that I gathered from the AB Models site and various sources
Please also post any helpful build techniques to share with others

All servo holes are pre cut , also the cockpit area for battery and receiver.
Various “non scale” colour schemes available.
There’s no filament tape or covering required with this model
Specifications
Material: EPP
Wingspan: 900mm or 35.5 inch
Fuselage: 730mm or 28.7 inch
Weight: 120 grams ( no RC gear ). Flying weight between 200 -230 grams or 7 – 8.1 ounces
Wind Range: 5-20 km/h or 3–12mph
Included:
Pre-joined wing with built-in spar and ailerons fitted.
Horizontal stabilizer with pre-cut elevator
Vertical fin (no rudder).
Fuselage
Linkage hardware: pushrods, clevises and horns
Required to Complete:
2+ Channel Transmitter (roll and pitch) and compatible receiver.
4-6 Volt rechargeable battery pack ( 30-50 grams is ideal)
three 9 gram Servos (and an optional Y lead depending on your radio setup)
Tips:
Covering the model with thin iron on lamination film will reduce drag with hardly any weight increase (for more speed).Brushless park size motor, esc and lipo battery can be added to “power the model”
Some tapes do not stick well to EPP.
5 min epoxy glue is recommended to attach the wing to the fuselage.
CG is 80mm from wing LE for BAE Hawk

So we ordered a dozen of the “Baby Hawks” for the Michigan and Wisconsin slope addicts.
The box from Anton arrived via air freight in only ten days. EPP makes great packing material, so shipping damage to the slope kits is nearly impossible

It works if viewed from my PC, but not from a mobile device/tablet. I think there's a Youtube setting for this and was not set by the author.
