Thanks my Friend I was at work all day and I saw you responded...

I use the same method build fly adjust..

the CG of the superslo28 is honestly about the 4" mark back from the leading edge
but flying adjusting is the best method. also its a good way to correct other issues.

A plane that is well balanced and setup is so amazing to fly your going to be amazed at stuff you can do.

I also like doing flat spins with my plane and then using mixing to remove any dips and lift in level flight. then when you lay you plane in a knife edge she will track like she is on rails....

Noob, need help with connecting esc to battery

When installing the battery to connect to the ESC, do I need to solder the female version of the connection my battery uses to my esc? Here are the links to my esc and battery. Thanks.

Yes, I used the same JST Battery Connector. Just cut off the connectors from the ESC wires and solder on the female JST Connector. Make sure the polarity of the female connector matches the battery. The connectors that I got the red and black wires are reversed.

Built one of these today. I built it and then screwed up a little so i started over. So glad i did, learned a fair few little tricks. I made it from 6mm depron as thats all that is available near me atm (Supplier forgot to order 9mm last order). As it is a bit thinner i added some more carbon bracing. It's very strong and should be fine. Time will tell.

Placed my Hobbyking order, got the following:

Turnigy 2730 1500kv Bell style.
3x HXT900 servos (they're out of 500's)
Turnigy Plush 12A esc
FrSky Delta 8ch Receiver S-FHSS (Yes i am one of few who hasn't converted to spektrum XD)
GWS 8040 Prop (I got loads on 9050 props which ill trial. I don't think i need the extra thrust and don't want to load the motor too much.
Zippy 350mah 3s Lipo
and other things, jst connectors, clevis, pin horns, motor mount.

Here's some pics of the build. I sanded everything to remove rough edges.

Will do. 3 weeks time i should receive my order and then ill chuck up a video. Just added a bit of paint to the top of the main wing and elevator. Using hobby diacast enamel paint (humbrol), I believe it is actually thinners based but i tested it on a scrap piece first and lots of thin coats didn't damage the foam at all. Used yellow, red and black so its nice and vibrant. Stay tuned.

EDIT: Here's a video i made of the build
SuperSlo28 Build | R/C 3D Foamie plane (8 min 41 sec)

And a picture after paint. Not the best paint job but didn't want to add to much unnecessary weight.

tallflyer,
Thanks. Received my servos and motor mounts Saturday.
I don't know if this has been posted and I apologize if it has. For the superslo, you can sub the 20-30 inch pushrods with rc car antenna tubes. They are about 12 inches long, leaving just enough at both ends. They come in several colors. Also they are only $1.19 instead of 6-7$. Of course you need the wire, but that's cheap.
