Doggone nice way to check our cg there maxx, now you could modify that rig slightly and get the plane laterally balanced too, right?

Ok looked at them! My props were on correctly 1 broke a blade in half, the other 2 snapped at the hub assembly. It's either from it being cold or just the way the props struck the ground idk...

Looks like some good posts while I was trapped in office today! Congrats on the maiden medic! The props do get more brittle in the cold. Props also break in spells of 3

Cool balance technique maxxnut and great build tips!

I didn't get to fly again today, so I'll be joining the virtual fly tonight should it occur.

Actually, if the string is around the center of the prop saver, and the rudder is straight ahead, it will show lateral balance...this is also how I balance my quickie 500's

But I would think that with the string wrapped around the rudder the way it is pictured, it would interfere with it falling if its off balance?

Slicko 32.5" EPP 3D Plane White

RightcoastRC,Looking forward to some pics once the green machine slicko is assembled.

Undecided on the final set up but using the 2205,12 amp esc and a 450 2s pack for now. Went with a light motor mount set up,if i decide to go lighter i'll take off the gear and run 325mah packs. Assembled a couple planes and still have some more to get to but hoping to get some flights in during the week.

Just hoping the indoor place i flew at last season is open this season.. Current weather doesnt make for very productive testing of stuff.

Like all of those! I made several modifications to my Slicko and decided to call it the "Smack Series."
