Best Sub $50 Scratchbuilt Combat Plane (Dollar Tree Foamboard)

I need a plane that is cheap, durable, and builds easily repairable for streamer and full-contact combat. It would be nice if it could be powered by a 2200 3s lipo as I have a TON of them. Also, I primarily use Dollar Tree Foamboard for scratchbuilding. Any suggestions?

The SEMFF Stingray is a great design.

You also can't go wrong with any flying wing design. The FT Versa Wing is a great design, although you can use just about any one of the many wing designs on this forum. For a smaller wing, I love the Dead Simple Wing (24 inch wingspan).

I've done combat with the Funbat/FT Bloody Wonder. It's a great design and flies really, really well.

I've built 3-4 Versa wings before with different power systems, from a slow setup as a beater, to a screaming fast setup that hauls at nearly 90 mph! I was just looking for something different to fly combat with against my friends and might just get some "on a budget" electronics for a Versa or KF flying wing.

I like the kesl wing, replace the epp with doubled up dollar tree foam , paper on or paper off, i did paper off 6 layers thick on the front, the covered it with packing tape after painting, I put a 5/16 inch wood dowel in the front leading edge full length, and a 5/16 square "dowel" across the motor mount to form a triangle of strenght inside the foam, the dowels are sold at home depot for .48 cents each in the lumber area, so the entire airframe is 8 bucks for 6 sheets of foam and 2 dowels, here is a link for the kesl, on this page post 73 and you see the 2 i have built so far

StingRay 3.0

You may need to play with the CG if you wish to use heavier 2200mAh as it is designed around a 1300mAh 3S.

Great agile FAST plane!

also the Dekan f22 can be built out of a single piece of dollar tree foam, so only 1 dollar gets you in the air, i build one with no spars and no carbon, just cut the foam, hot glue the fins and under rails, mount the rc gear with velcro and your UP and rockin
