Remember Patton Aircraft?

I'm a new member and I've just recently returned to Slope and found this BBS. I have a 13 year old Patton Aircraft Spitfire. If Steve was still making airplanes I would want one of each. The spit has been well used and rebuilt a couple times, but still flies great, although it needs a little more wind than it used to.

I recently finished a DAW 1-26 but have yet to fly it.

I've been flying just south of Norco hill on the west facing ridge. It has easy access but the slope is a bit inconsistent. I'm looking forward to getting out and trying other local sites. Cheers!

Ryan

I had a 32" P-51 that I enjoyed quite a bit. All of the Patton planes I saw seemed to fly nice - he did a good job of putting more focus on scale and performance and less on combat, good call in my book

I loved my Pattons, Steve lived a few blocks from me and made great flying planes, he is no longer making planes, I believe he sold the business and the buyer didnt keep it going. If you love your foam warbirds Jack at www.leadingedgegliders.com is the place for you.

Thanks, it's good to be flying again.

Ah, Little Mountain. I used to live five minutes away have spent 90% of my sloping there, but haven't driven over since I started up again. I'm due!
