Question
How long is acceptable?

Hello all I have a quick question. I ordered some parts from a member. I asked him where he is located but her never told me. But I live in Delaware -- so lets say he lives in California (furthest away). ASSUMING he sent my package snail-mail, what would be the acceptable time limit for delivery? He sent the package out last Tuesday of LAST week apparently, and it has yet to arrive. I have done A LOT of buying and selling on ebay, but I have never experienced this long of a wait -- even from California. Im sure I did not get scammed because he is a reputable member on RCG and has 50+ positive trader rating. This is more of a USPS question, not I got scammed. Though he is hard to get a hold of lol

Tuesday of last week! well I am not an expert but I do a lot of buying and shipping, and if everything works fine weather permitting especially that package should have been delivered.

But at this point and time there is no factual proof that the item was even shipped!

When was the last communication with him? have you attempted to contact him maybe?

File A Dispute if item is coming from California, 4-5 days tops you should of had item by now. Futhermore if you bought it from Dr. Edf your not getting it after all.

The last communication with him was 3-4 days ago saying basically they shipped last week and should be here any day now. I messaged him yesterday asking where the parts were coming from and I have not heard from him yet. My only guess would be he lied when he said he shipped them out on that Tuesday.

Nooooo, its not Dr. EDF lol I don't want to give the name of the member. I will if the parts never arrive, but not now.

The seller has 118 positive feedback (one neutral), and is even a plus member. So I find is odd hes a little hard to get a hold of and my package is taking so long.

No tracking number or receipt, no proof of shipment. The very first thing I do once an item is sold and shipped is email or pm the buyer with the tracking number. It is the best way to put the buyer's mind at ease

I FINALLY just heard from him and he send me the tracking number.... He said he sent it out LAST Tuesday and upon checking the tracking, he actually sent it out this Monday. Talk about a blatant lie. Either way it should be delivered tomorrow (Its in Philadelphia now). Thank you for your help everyone

It seems to be working out, Mike....I admire your restraint in 'filing a complaint' some times things go wrong, and still work out.

If you ever buy anything from me, I'll meet you halfway, and hand deliver it...I can make it to Smyrna in 40 minutes...lol.

I think the lesson here is letting the buyer know when you can ship an item and always give a tracking# so everybody's happy. There might be some delays on the part of USPS, but at least the buyer knows that it's on the way rather than guessing when it's going to be shipped - (works for me all the time).
