Phenomenal models you've got there. I'm curious, I see you use Modo, and I was wondering, after a model is made, is there a way to dissect it into 2D sketches that can be used for laser cutting? I know a lot of the guys here use their software just for that, and I thought maybe you could share a little more info on Modo with us.

Thank you!

Those worlds are getting closer. In fact, for a rather hefty price, (due to other software's licensing agreements) you can convert modo parts now, to NURBS, and back. (other formats too) As this price later comes down, we'll see a more standard 3D format that's good for both design and for CNC.

I don't do fabrication anymore, but still occasionally do client jobs for rapid prototyping, and see this coming. I wouldn't say "soon", but "ultimately."
