Not 100% familiar with all there radios but I think the 8fg is the best bang for the buck in the futaba line of radio being 12+2 channel and all.

The real question at least for me would be, 300$ for used or pay a bit more and get something BRAND NEW with warranty and something that is UP TO DATE and can be updated.
Not sure what the 10c can do or not do.
At the end of the day it's your money.

It really more depends what you want to do with the radio ? To answer your question the Futaba 10CHP is a very good tx.
I've had radios from the 14MZ down to a 6EX and inbetween, and the 10CAP is the one that has served me best.
You can compare the features of most of the Futaba radios and see which one suits you.
$300 is close to the going rate for a used 10C , so depending on what it comes with, it may or may not be a good deal.
